Want to be part of the Modern Love @ UCLA team?

You don't need to know how to write. You just need to like it. Take a look at the Modern Love column from The New York Times for inspiration and guidance – your writing doesn't need to cover the same topics exactly, but would follow a similar style of expression : satirical, personal, and somewhat confessional musings. Your writing will be published alongside other accepted submissions as part of our monthly/quarterly collections. You have the choice to join our team as a regular writer for Modern Love UCLA if you'd like! (we'd love!)

For our visual learners. As an illustrator, you are tasked with producing a digital illustration that brings an accepted submission to life. You will be paired with the writer, and will work with them to produce artwork that speaks to you both. While you could be given minor guidance by the writer on how they want their story to be illustrated, your creative vision will be the driving force behind the artwork. 

Social Media and Web development are the two facets of this job. You'll work with your team to create Instagram posts that highlight accepted submissions (check out examples on our Instagam), as well as event announcements. You'll also be publishing our accepted submissions every time a collection is released, and by updating the website when necessary. This website, as well as @modernloveucla, will be in your hands.
